Billet is better to run in this country than chrome. There isnt a manufacturer who will guarantee chrome wheels for more than 12 months due to the nature of the stuff. I run 20' chrome wheels on my truck (standard issue from Ford) and aftermarket on the van and after one year have corrosion problems with both. Now, we are meticulous on cleanliness of the rims as the truck is also used for shows but still has problems.
Billet is a much better options but does need more work to keep clean on a regular basis.

Hi all,
I'm that guy in the US that has fitted the polished billet HRE 540R's to my Noble. Very happy with the quality and look of the wheels. Not that hard to keep clean really. An occassional hand polish, but inbetween that I just spray a good glass cleaner on them and wipe them clean to remove the brake/road dust. Whenever I feel the need to polish them I put the car on my hoist and raise it up to a comfortable level to work on.
The problem with chrome wheels is that it adds weight to the wheel and chrome on top of aluminum is not always a good way to go. Another US owner is going to have his OEM wheels chromed, but I wouldn't recommend it for the reasons stated (OEM wheels are 28 lbs each in the front and 30 lbs each in the rear to begin with). Since he lives nearby, I am going to let him use my OEM wheels to send them out to be chromed and then when they arrive back and are mounted on his car, he will give me his OEM wheels to replace mine. Hopefully he will be able to share some photos when he gets it done. His car is cherry black in color. Should be stunning, but...it won't remove any unsprung weight.

I hope to get out of the office early today to fire the cars up, knock the dust off of them and maybe take a few pictures. It's 50 and sunny today in Michigan!!!
Thanks for the kudo's on the garage. Can you tell that the hoist used to be home to a Cobra?

Where I can easily plug in the battery tender on the passenger side (ooops, sorry...drivers side to you blokes).
