Hi,

I have always loved their work... I would really like to create such an image myself, but I don't know how, Is it done in Photoshop? I presume they apply filters

here is the link: www.finesthourgallery.com/gallery.html

Who has tried it at home?

cheers Bacchus

I've often had the same thought...a couple of my efforts (not quite as stylised):-

so what filters are you using for that effect?

Cut-out/Posterize
Gaussian blur to soften the edges
Adjust the curves to sharpen again
Color adjustment layer

The skill comes in taking a good original photo, cropping, selecting the contrast/levels, colour selection and knowing when to stop!

Not the same, but a similar, but not the same - you know what I mean.

I managed this sort of effect some while ago, which I quite like....

I like that one Beano . I'm struggling without PS so no watercolour filters. But I got a bit carried away this evening with photoimpression trying to hone my effects...

I think the MG one works particularly well! Maybe a touch more detail in the lights/number plate?

ummmm... is that for sale? do you have a hi-res version? mail me through my profile if you do as I'd love a blown up version of that if you wouldn't mind. Name your price and we'll come to an agreement.

Thanks,

Brian.

I am afraid I can't remember now (did it a few years ago and didn't keep any notes!) I expect it'd take me a few hours to work it out - probably all done from standard PS tools!

Crank it up a bit more (whatever it is that you did!) and you'd have my vote too .

And thank you CY88 .
