IPod Nano connection to new 325i??!!
Discussion
Anyone else got a new E90 3 series that they have plugged an Ipod into via the 3.5mm phono socket that hides inside the armrest compartment?
I have bought myself a 3.5mm phono to phono lead (gold plated connectors don't ya know...!! )and have read up about (and decided on) the Monster Cables iCharger that plugs into the power socket also under said armrest and also has a 3.5mm phono line out socket for my super duper gold plated (etc...) cable to connect to ... phew!
From what I have read (too much!) this will allow me to charge my Nano up en route and listen to the sounds through the car's stereo, but will not allow me to change tracks etc from the steering wheel or stereo controls?
Anyone else tried anything else that they can recommend?
Cheers

There are a few different options for connection. One of them is the Denison Ice Link. I think this gives some control over the Ipod via preset playlists. Look at www.ipodmycar.com which will give you more details.
I use my MP3 Iriver with the Z4 ~Aux input that I installed myself. It works great but you have no control over the unit(which doesn't bother me) and I do get some background Hiss which I put down to amplifying a tiny sound signal designed for ears not hifi. Some people seem not to notice it and I can't say it bothers me that much either. May be different with different vehicles/MP£ players etc.
