On Saturday a fellow PHer comes around my house. She has just swapped her S2000 for a Porker 996 cabrio. She needed to borrow a pen so I handed her the first one out of the drawer, which happens to be a TVR one. As she went to write with it, the pen springs apart and the pieces go all over the floor. The irony caused me physical pain.

The irony there being that she obviously couldn't handle the pen correctly and you'd probably kept the pen in your drawer for the last 3 years and expected it to perform like the day you layed it up. Rather stick to my slightly tempremental fountain pen then a mass produced bic biro any day!!

Don't get us started!!!

Shnozz, you must be a real joy to be around at the moment given the last couple of posts!

Might have to bypass Hampshire next month on the way back from London, it looks like a better laugh is to be had with Marvin the 'clinically depressed robot' from The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy' just off the A303.

You should have warmed up the pen fully before you passed it to her.

She's used to these mass produced pens with which you can scribble furiously from cold.

AND she's a bird... what do you expect... it wasn't an iron.

Let's vote for a new "TVR Pen Forum" whereby people can have a go about the crap quality of the pens, but others say "yeah but you could not get a [insert good pen name here] for less than double the price" and then......
......oh you get the picture

Lovin' your irony though Schnozz

shut up you tart. In any event, its the very same person who you still owe an apology to for stealing a case of lager from her party last year.

A fascinating interplay of design and function, unusually graceful in appearance, avoiding pretentious looks and based on clear lines, practical in everyday use and remarkably long-lasting...

Just thank your lucky stars you didn't pass her the Lotus Fountain that has been overfilled with ink.

It would only have stuttered and covered the paper in blotches.

I don't understand.

Is it one of their own design, or an older model where they bought in from outside?

yeah, but the TVR pen would only look like it's been drawn with a ruler.....the Lotus pen on the other hand would make curves and squiggles so smoothly, and quickly

That would be the Elise pen, not the Eclat one?

It was a design commissioned from Parker, but they redesigned the closure mechanism to avoid royalties.
