Ordering from tirerack.com

I know you guys got some tires from these guys in the US. Does anyone know what the shipping cost, and how much duty was payable?

Dan, i had around 20 tyres shipped over, using fedex 3 day, to give a rough idea, tyres were $130 - total cost including vat duty and shipping was around the £140 mark. ( that was on a batch of 4 tyres)
I also found it better to call them rather than via email.

Thanks. Any idea what the import duty was? Presumably VAT was then levied on top of everything.

I think the import duty was around 4% and yep, vat was added to everything including shipping.
I will have a dig around for one of the invoices later.

Thanks mate. Pirelli have bumped up their prices again on Corsas and there are a few GT3 owners getting bored with that pricing strategy.

Have to pay VAT on the duty as well IIRC!

The EU did a deal with the US last year I think, but the message hasn't got through to everyone yet so you might be able to find an altenrative US supplier who hasn't got around to it

Alex, one more question if I may. I need to calculate the all in price before ordering. Did you manage to find all the info to do this or was it more a case of crossing your fingers until they arrived to see what duty was payable?
