Invaison's not that bad, been downloading the shows as they air in the states. A bit more of a slow burner and you don't see anything alieny until ep 9, maybe ep 10. But not all that bad honestly.
Agreed; episode 9 and 10 are where it starts to get interesting, but it's got the advantage over most series like this in that all of the episodes I've seen so far do at least have some new disclosure every episode, however minor, rather than verging off on a tangent completely for an episode or two.
Watched the first 2 and thought yeh not bad. Channel flicking era we're in though it was hard to keep watching, didn't lead me in like an old episode of X-Files.
Big storm, some lights, cheap special effects and a cheesy 'love square' with good and evil developing.
Possessed by an alien? Of course she is, she smells differently!? ooo err.

the adverts about 6 minutes into the 1st episode nearly did for me
I tried to get excited, I truly did - I loved X-Files like there was no tommorrow, and I was hoping this could be the same.
But adverts 6 minutes into the programme made me wander off, and I never came back.
I agree, thats the reason X-Files worked so well - led you and kept you there - this and Lost as well just drives me up the wall...
And don't get me started on the 118 (and whatever is sponsoring Invasion) adverts - these repetitive adverts turn me off the product being advertised - surely the markerting bods must realise this?
