I hit 7k today! Had a great drive out for 2 hours with many a "controlled" slide in the wet. I love my car. (the noble that is- not the voyager!)

Hope yor going to get the DSG version. Its a awesome box, great fun to use and a very good (ish) full auto mode for when your just crusing round.

Nah, getting the Quattro version. I like real gearboxes anyway!! Besides I think it's DSG or Quattro. I'd rather the Quattro. If it was going to be front drive only I'd have gone for the Golf GTI anyway.

You can have both as the VW R32 has a DSG option

Interesting - was wondering about selling my wife the idea of a R32 DSG as "a practical shopping car" that I could use occasionally...!

How do you find it - does it do fun and shopping equally well?

She's only got a MK4 R32, hope to test drive a MK5 with DSG at some point as she loves the SMG on my car.

Nathan, indeed the Golf will do both but neither the missus nor I fancy the DSG anyway. Also, local Veedub dealers are working on nil discount for GTI or R32. Audi on the other hand...
