As it says really, a chap in Edinburgh is interested in buying 4 x Alfa Romeo wheels plus tyres from me and I'm in Maidenhead. I've used TNT etc. loads of times from my office to ship stuff around the country but do they also provide a service for private individuals? And... if so anyone got any recommendations? Cheers Rich...

My family and I always use Interlink for stuff like that, very good service and cheap too

Cheers,
Rob.

Hi Rich

Any of the national carriers will do this for you, just brace yourself for the cost of it!

I'm sure palletways will take these for a standard charge of £40.00.

A friend used them recently for something similar, not sure if you need a pallet though?

If the tyres are marginal or of no interest to the buyer I'd strongly suggest taking the wheels down to your local tyre fitter and having them removed and disposed. My local one charged me £20-odd for the 4.

If you have a local branch of Mailboxes Etc. nearby then this is often a good place to send from as
a) they can be cheaper than going direct to the courier as they can get a better price from the courier than you can and
b) they're often closer than the courier's depot so can be more convenient.

Edit: If you're feeling lazy they'll even pack it all up for you, although will obviously charge you extra.

Mailboxes, Etc. is a franchise operation, BTW, so your mileage may vary. But the guys at Frimley are superb. If you use them then say shopatbettyboop recommendeded them - they know us well there.

(I realise that since you're in Berkshire, Frimley may not be convenient, but thought I'd mention it anyway)

I did this last year (4 x alloys) and was quoted between £60 to £80 by most but these did it for £32: -
