Technocars Dash

Does anybody know if the dash display in the technocars are 'off the shelf' or their own design?

hi russ, thanks for that, i think you are spot on there. im gonna have to do a bit of investigation about this now as my bodywork will be here in about 6 weeks. cheers, dave

Am Using a Pista version on the car I'm building at present, it has the basic Data Logging and of course that lovly G Meter.....
Piers had the same unit and managed to get 1.3G on a high speed bend at Beford Autodrome. Pista £1025 + Vat Well worth it, and much better than the Stack which I had in my GTR, which was £1000 and didn't have half the options this has....

Am building a Dash pod for a GTR at present. If you want when I'm finished could make you one... I'm making a mould. It will be similar to my Old GTR but with a different curve....

Here's my old Car Dash. The over hang stops you seeing a reflection of the dash on the windscreen.

Yep I think also it is that one, only the tech car has white letters(sign) instead of red

Can't see any reference to an odometer, so would be illegal for road use in the UK.

Oh Yes it has a Gear indicator that works out what gear your in via your speed and engine revs..... a Nice feature...

No Problem - I think I may have done my planning a little early as my chassis only arrives on the 10th Feb!

I did download and install the config software for the device to see what it was like - it installs OK without the device connected. Very comprehensive features - can be connected directly to most of the major EFI systems - if people have gone down that route.

No doubt it will all have changed by the time I need a dash!

you can never plan to early, the problem is that you think you have your mind straight about a certain type of digital dash then you see something else that takes your fancy. but i think that is the good thing about 'the self build supercar' , you can change it when you and the wallet decide.
i too also loaded the software, quite a comprehensive package and the plan 'this week' is to go down the efi route, so that fits in quite well. i only live in walsall so i am going to see if i can get into the autocar show at the nec next thursday or friday to have a proper look at this thing.
