Absolutely nothing to do with Lotus guys!

Sorry if this offends anyone, the following website is a complete mockery of those sad muppets out their who have so much fancy skirting and bolted or glued on extras on their cars that they look like they've been sculpted out of playdo by a 4 year old.

Check out the 'Shed of the Week' section

The attempted conversrion of a standard Metro into a 6R4 lookalike has got to be the funniest thing I've seen this year (so far).

Maybe I'm just cruel for laughing at those less fortunate, but will they Ever learn?

Do you mean less fortunate because they're poorer than you, or have less taste than you?

Good aint it?

And I would say less fortunate in the case that they are forced to buy their Burberry from down t'market?
Rather than more sophisticated shopping methods such as eBay!!

The origenal 6R4 looks just the same as that blue car on the page's ...so when they build it to look like a 6R4 I think they did a fine job?! I've seen a lot picture's and real 6R4 and some look even worse, but I like the real thing...little pocket rocket in rally trim and group B? rallying and around 500hp? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa fast it is
GTRene

here is that blue one "shed of the week" from this angle looks as origenal almost..

Quick Story

Me & me wife driving on the M25 towards Reading and all of a sudden I hear this loud Noise, my wife puts her hand over her mouth and point's to the outside lane as I glance over my shoulder there's this Bright Green Nova with Halford's stuck all over it, he saw me looking and changes down a Gear while still looking at us (It got louder) but the car went no faster Oh dear ! I looked forward trying not to cry with laughter why O why do they do this ?

HBaumhardt and I met a great bloke at Bedford in November who due to family circumstances (young kids iirc), wasn't in a position to lay down the wedge for an expensive trackday car, so he bought himself a porsche 944 for 1K. Believe me, he has as much fun as the rest of us, his taste is just as good and if you ask me, he made a really sensible choice. Spending several K on bodywork and audio equipment is a matter of taste rather than being less fortunate.

That said, the rally metro was bl**dy ugly in its day and the years haven't been kind either. That blue car did several laps of the ugly track and hit every armco along the way.

The real 6R4 is excelllent alright.. but the laughable thing with that is it's probably just a 1.1 and ruins it for those real good 6R's - but whoever owns it, even if it is 1litre will say it's "pushin' aaht about 1500 brake"

I see some of those cars sometimes on the streets overhere too, always make me laugh a bit(not that they can see it, I don't wanted to harm somebody's feeling) some have self designed wings or spoilers most look realy as those days long gone(20years orso ago) bolt on spoilers and extra lights the bigger the better
also what I see a lot is home made end pipes(exhaust) in some you can put your head in so big...a lot of noise but almost no go
And around 6 months ago I drove behind a small car and that person also maked his own spoiler, and it looked strange, when I get closer I saw what it was...it was a bumper upside down! so he had 2 of the same bumpers put together it was a older wedgy(cubic type) nissan micra.
In my younger(ahum) driving days about 20-24years ago, you also saw a lot people imitating cars that where on TV...I also did so with one, a px car 22 years ago orso? I painted bulhorns on the engine hood from a Fiat 127 and mounted BIG lights on the steal bumpers...
Later when I've got older I do completely different, the less on a car the better!
Or it must be a origenal part, so no fast and furious car for me, althoug when nicely maked I like to see them, but not to own.

glol at the 'hidden' wheels in the arches

If the guy was making a replica then fair enough, I'd be the first to hear that V6, a proper one sounds like an 80s F1 car (albeit muted if it's roadgoing) but looking at the wiper arms etc I think it's a Max Power special

By less fortunate, yes, I mean in taste, not wealth - I'm not that cruel!

They probably have a few quid to spend on their little beauties anyway, it is a misfortune for them to throw it away on such trash. I expect their fuel bills are about the same as mine with all those bolt-ons causing extra drag! (even on a 1.1)

The 6R4 - yes I agree, tastefully done and the kit is dead-on with the proper one - if only they'd thought about how daft the wheels would look - it would look slightly better if the wheels matched too!.

the wheels? oké they don't match...(also 2 different on front and rearbut look at those pics of the real thing! most of the car dont match on the real too...it always was a ugly car, but a real beast! and sometimes ugly is good on the real thing I forgive at least

Well wicked, when i'm with my mate and something like that goes past us (smoke and all) we always say in an Ali G voice "nice, nice"
Mind you i think some of our "rude boys" down at staples car park (on tuesdays) could easily out do some of those cars. trust me you need to see them to believe them

It is said that "money gives you the opportunity to make more choices" although you apparently cant buy good taste. Now if this unfortunate won the lottery woudl they consume 1. more or 2. less visually assaulting bodykit ?

The blue metro is strangely familiar (perhaps because I have a blue VX220).
