About time - I've been hoping that they'd demolish this place ever since I had to work there. What an armpit!

Bus crashed into a shop front. Pedestrians injured. No fatalities I think.

It was London Tonight's top story. Nobody else seems bothered. I tend not to watch "news" on ITV.

Years ago they would just pull the bus clear and get on with it.....now you will have police, ambulance, fire, bomb disposal, race relations, store detectives,AA,RAC all running around full of self importance, the place will be declared a disaster zone with the knock on effect felt on the M25 that inturn will have a ripple effect as far afield as Sussex, surrey and Hampshire

Next will be the florists with tributes just incase, plus a minutes silence before all games on saturday.

very very true!

On a slightly different tangent, as controversial as the topic is, Britain actually 'likes' bad news, unfortunately we're becoming a nation of mourners, seeking out deaths/tragedies that we can cry over. No news is good news IMHO.

Edited to add: if someone dies in a car on a country road, it will make a local paper for one day, yet 2+ people die in a large town/city and a barrel scraping news firm will seek to bother a greaving family for days.

That was Islington and it crashed into a shop and then bounced across the road into a taxi rank, how fast was that going?

They needed a bigger Bus

One big enough to flatten all of Croydon Town centre.

That just about hits it on the head. If we all had something valuable to do, we wouldn't be in this mess. What we've got here, is spiralling expenses, diminishing returns. I say, cut the red tape, and invest in industry.

I just wish I had the money to back my mouth!

Sorry, I do get sarcasm, dry wit and subtle humour but I heard this said about 2 years ago in reference to London.
