I've heard of one Tuscan owner who dresses up as a French Maid at weekends and calls himself Samantha I'm NOT going to divulge how I know but I can get his email address for you if you're that desperate, Force (And, no, before anyone asks, it's not me - you'd never see me dead in a Maids outfit, I'm more of the Nurse type) Edited by Factory Hound on Thursday 9th August 19:28

My girlfriend had a great laugh driving my Chimaera at about 130mph down Duxford runway a couple of years ago, scary thing is she hasn't passed her driving test yet!

Hmm, I had my driver's seat mountings adjusted so that the seat could travel further forward, and hence so the other half could drive it!! She gave me a hard time when I bought my Chim because she wanted an Elise (she likes sports cars - aparently). But she's not got the bottle to drive mine now.... Ah, marital bliss.....

41 not married,,,, must be a bit of a bunny boiler or a monster or both. Anyway she should not be discussing cars but stick to Tupperware parties and the no dress sense of friends while talking to other female mates. Stick to cosmo like my misses and read it in the kitchen. The pitbull

I am both a bunny boiler and a monster, and have no dress sense. Is Tupperware the cartons that take-aways come in? Does cosmo do articles on the best tyres to put on my car or the best roads to drive on? Pitbull, next time you are in the kitchen, could you draw me a map on how to get there, can't seem to find mine. As long as I can find my car keys, who cares!

nice one Karen, my wife is the registered owner of our car and I for one would love to see more feminine input to the site, as for poseurs...I would have thought the cars were a bit too 'hands on' for that but who knows

I’m a happy owner and have been for the last five years. On many an occasion I was told that girlie driver/unreliable car wasn’t a good idea but I listened to owners who knew what they were talking about rather than the uninformed know-alls who’d never driven a TVR let alone owned one. I’ve had very few problems over the years and indeed both my previous cars (Ford/Lancia) were MUCH more problematic. I have a passion for TVRs and would certainly buy one again and would encourage ladies who like cars (but don’t mind getting their hands dirty from time to time) to give them a go – you’ll be hooked.

Sorry for deleting your post Karen. Having not seen you post before I though it was someone spoofing a response taking the pi$$ out of TVR girlies. Delighted to see you get this discussion back on to a more interesting tack!

My irlfriend and I have just go back from a 4000 mile trip around Europe with a brief stop off at the Nurburgring. It was the first time that my girlfriend had driven around any circuit let alone the 'Ring' so I decided that she must have a go. She thoroughly loved screaming around the circuit and there wasn't much that managed to overtake her apart from the track experts giving passenger rides in the GT3 Porches (well they do know the circuit better than she does!). The only thing she didn't like was when I was driving on the banked part of the carousel - it came as a bit of a shock to her, heh heh heh.... As we shared the driving, for the two weeks we managed to get in some truly excellent roads and passes over the Dolomites into Italy and over the Alps into Switzerland. If you go over the Alps via the St Bernard pass I would suggest that you also go over the pass at Altburg towards Chur - It's about 80 kms from end to end, very quiet and some serious hairpin bends - more than the Stelvio Pass and a lot quieter. Ian - Chimaera 500

I too am a TVR girl, thanks to a drive in my sister's first Chimaera - I am now on my first, she on her second. We also have 2 Griff owning girlfriends and another who owns a Chimaera. I don't mind having a go at fixing things although I do tend to rely on expert help - but sometimes it's handy being a girl...a hair tie is great for a flyaway windscreen wiper driving through France...but upside down in the passenger footwell trying to access a dead battery while wearing a short skirt is not so much fun.... I am by no means the quickest, but at the end of my first track day at Castle Combe at least I wasn't being overtaken so often as at the start... Those looks, that noise, the power... it's fantastic.
