I haven't had the S out of the garage since the Saturday before last... the roads have just been so wet and greasy and covered in salt... even the eurobox has been spinning in the first 3 gears with traction control turned on....

Maybe if it dries out tomorrow afternoon as I am "working" from home I will get it out of the garage....

have`nt had mine out for a five weeks or so now, but xmas eve i get into the spirit of things and go out with the roof down dressed up as father christmas, it sounds daft but the looks on peoples faces when they hear a tiv coming up the road with santa behind the wheel is priceless!

I usually get out once a week for a good 20/40 minute run.
Only on dry roads though.
Start it up every other day.
Have recently had it checked over and underneath cleaned off and Schutz`ed !
Now its raring to fly but a 3 week holiday to Thailand on Christmas day
means I will just have to wait !
Not doing as many miles as I thought I would though.
Seriously thinking of insuring it for 3 not 5 thousand miles per year.

Last Saturday. 25 mile A/B roads through pleasant countryside to the Mayfly, beside the river Test. Sun shining, blue sky, dry roads, roof down, very nice pub (with log fire) in beautiful setting ...............BIG Grin!

Clive, I can imagine you dressed as santa and sat behind the wheel with my sister dressed as a reindeer pulling the tiv. I didnt know the sleigh had a V6 in it though

At least once a fortnight - which means the car is never off the road long enough to do some of those jobs I intended to do, such as removing the rear hood panel to get a new window fitted...

My V8S has 105k miles on it now, I think GreenV8S has done even more in his?
I use mine virtually every day and cover about 400 miles a week in it

It'll get a bit more of an easier life once the Tasmin Turbo is up and running though. A good chance to make it even more track focussed than it is already

...every day. If I don't I get withdrawal. I don't how people can manage to keep theirs in the garage. I must admit though, I use less petrol in the winter 'cause I'm not blasting it so much.

Every day for the last 3 weeks. The shed is off the road awaiting parts. The speed at which the lights salt up is a right PITA. It needs a good wash and desalt over Xmas, then I tackle the manifolds.

Today for the first time in about a month .
Its the longest period of time I haven`t driven the car in over
four years of ownership.
Its due to the flattening of my garage and a new one being put up,
mother-in-law has been looking after tivvy and scraping the
ice of her car in the mornings.

My S2 is sadly lurking in my garage, patiently waiting for it's next outing (probably for an MOT in Jan).

But I will be driving it down to the southern Spain for next year's tour!

Not for nearly 2 months, as the car has been in the garage awaitng surgery.......! There is a small chance that I might have the car back by tomorrow, which would be a superb present (although the bill certainly wont be) Although then I will need to book it in to see Mark Adams for a rollers check up and ECU remap.

Normally i drive it every week at some point, in the summer everyday............!

Have a great Xmas and New Year everyone............

Mike
