Anyone know how much the rear clam is for an exige? I need the whole assembly/everything. Im thinking of converting an S2 ( federal) elise ( just the back) to an exige rear clam.

Thanks!

Ive put an Exige front end on my s2 which looks great. The clam alone was £1800 + Paint and labour.

I am a little unsure why you would want to. The exige body panels are hand made, this is good in some aspects, it does mean that they are heavy. I am unaware of the benefit of doing this.

This is not a critism, but I would like to understand your reasoning.

A much cheaper way is to have soft-top fittings put on an exige. You will lose less money by replacing the car. You will not recoup your expenditure if you change clams. Maverick had a damaged clam which needed replacing, so his move was not a great deal more wedge. Looks great though!

Please if you do this be very sure that your insurance company are OK with the modification. Mine view the Exige as a fixed head coupe and simply do not understand that it's just a removable panel as on the 111R. The last thing you want is them getting arsey and using it as a get-out clause if you have an incident.

I do know lots of people run with the roof off but after two big no-fault claims in 18 months (thankfully got 100% recovery) I'm not doing anything to further complicate the process.
