Just got an email from a friend, who obviously received it from someone else etc etc.....

Email said:
Hi All,
Please read below and take action this is not a joke or a wind up!!!!
As its the Christmas period look after your friends and loved ones!! A woman at a night-club on Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes and along with traces of Rohypnol in her blood, was Progesterex, which is essentially a small sterilization pill.

The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. Progesterex is available to vets to sterilise large animals.
Rumour has it that Progesterex is being used together with Rohypnol, the date rape drug. As with Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into the girl's drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before.

Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't conceive from the rape and the rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later. The drug's effects ARE NOT TEMPORARY- They are P*E*R*M*A*N*E*N*T! Progesterex was designed to sterilise horses. Any female who takes it WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE. The weasels can get this drug from anyone who is in the vet school or any university. It's that easy, and Progesterex is about to break out big everywhere. Believe it or not, there are even sites on the Internet telling people how to use it.

Please COPY this to everyone you know, especially girls. Be careful when you're out and don't leave your drink unattended. Please make the effort to PASS this on to all you know... Guys, please inform all your female friends and relatives. This has now been reported to have been used on 360 women around London. Girls keep your drinks safe at all times and Blokes look after The girls you're with.

I would have thought so. Generally anything with "please forward to everyone you know" in the text I believe to be a hoax.

Been out with a few mares. Horse sterilisation?? You're having a laugh if you think it works on humans.

Why has this not made the news?

It's typical hyped up 'like to feel important' w*nkers from the US of A.

I actually get really fed up with people sending me this sort of stuff on email. It takes 10 seconds to Google and see if it's a hoax FFS, but they still just blindly forward it on to everyone on the planet.

One of my colleagues recently sent the Sainsburys free voucher one to everyone in the department. I did Reply All with a link to the site which explained that it was a hoax. It amazes me that people are stupid enough to believe that any company is going to give them something for nothing.

It's pretty doubtful that weasels would be clever enough to steal them in the first place and how would they carry em? and even if they did manage it wouldn't they want to rape other weasels? smells fishy to me

But not unheard of occasionally in the City they hand out carrier bags with free stuff inside. The last one a couple of weeks ago inside was a pack of Yorkshire Tea, Listerine Mouthwash, flavoured spring water, a voucher book and some other stuff I forget. Used one of the vouchers to get a hand cream from Molton Brown no purchase necessary.

Some companies do give stuff away for free

Thought as much!

I didn't believe it to begin with anyway, as someone mentioned - anything with "send this to everyone you know" in the text is usually a hoax.

I quite agree. Exactly as I was telling this guy I met at Disney World during my free trip with a small boy dying of cancer...

Fecking hoax emails. There was one doing the rounds in Bristol recently warning of a terrorist bomb threat at The Mall (large out of town shopping centre) on a certain date in December.

Clearly it was a hoax, but the damn thing kept popping into my inbox from all sorts of directions.

Apparently The Mall was pretty empty that day, right in the middle of the Christmas rush. So, yes, there was some damage done - to the takings of the shopkeepers.

The cynic in me might suggest that the email could have originated from Bristol City Council in a bid to woo shoppers back into the city centre (The Mall falls under South Glos, so BCC don't get to cream it for business rates)

Considering some human HRT treatments such as Premarin are made from pregnant horse urine that is not as great a leap of the imagination as you might think.
