When you eat with a knife and fork and you have your fork in your left paw (or right if your left handed) and knife in right it feels comfortable but when you try and eat with just a fork and you use your left it feels totally weird? Or is it just me?

In the US, custom is to cut with knife in the right hand and holding the article to be cut with the fork in the left hand. After cutting, you place the knife down, switch the fork to the right hand and then use the right hand to lift the cut item to eat it.
Easy way to spot Americans in restaurants. Another would be the 10 gallon hat.
