No different to what certain fundamentalist, christians, jew, etc, etc, etc think.
But of course it is always the poor, underpriveledged, undeucated that get punished most, by a horrible god, (or is it just the fundamentalist nutter, hearing voices in their heads)

not so sure, I remeber seeing one christioan evangelist, in hawai, stating that all people suffering from cancer were paying for their sins.... to rapturous applause... Very nearly caused an incident then, And that was thoe more moderate stuff.

The gullibility of the general follower is galling enough but it’s the unending capacity of the minority to bend this to their own which I find so appalling... and no I don't think that this is different to any other religion, just a more extreme example.

Fear is a good psychological controlling mechanism.

We can laugh/despair at their being 'duped' by silly religious superstition, but when our own governments use the same fear of terrorism to remove our freedoms and control us, is it any better?

I'd debate wether our 'free' materialistic society of today is any better than the more religious one of some years back.
