How many radiator fans does an S1 have?
Discussion
Still trying to get over the overheating probs, replaced pressure cap on coolant tank as the next step.
Car left idling for 1 hour this afternoon whilst i attempted to remove any airlocks, the fan came on regularly at about 102 as it should but i noticed it is only blowing on 1 side of the radiator. Is that normal, or is there 1 fan for each side?
Thanks

If it's just the roar of it driving air through, then yes, the noise is fine.
Because of the position of the fan, though, they are susceptible ot seizing up due to rain running down onto them. When it switches itself off, is should smpin down gradually and smoothly over several seconds. If it stops spinning quickly, or if the rotation isn't smooth as it slows down, then you have a problem.
