After 8 days of an ADSL line not working it finally started working!
Turned out to be my router after all. DOH.
And it looks like my backup router was shot as well - hence spending the last few days chewing on various BT engineers "Its fooked i tell you". Oh well, ate a bit of humble pie a bit earlier...
