Speed kills? come on! that sounds realy negative.
Tell that to the driver of the ambulance, its speed that can save! live's.
Tell that to the driver of the firevehicle, its speed that can save! live's.
Tell that to the driver of the policecar, its speed that can save! live's.
What about circumstance's (can) kill.
If there was'nt speed there would be no life!
If there was'nt speed the world would not turn around!
(that would be a long day)
Everything needs a certain speed!
Speed is all about life! life is all about a certain speed.
Speed does not kill, circumstance's can!
So adjust your speed to the circumstance's!

Speed kills?(old)
it should be: Circumstance's (can) kill
That could make you think about things on a no stresd basis.

Of course speed kills, if you wernt traveling or moving there would be no chance of a crash.

I will get back in my matter transporter and teleport home.

it is not the speed that kills, it is the rate of stopping

No no no, think about it. I've had some form of speed for 24 years and I'm still OK. Whereas if I stopped completely, I'd die of dehydration very quickly!

The longer it takes you to get from a to b, the more of your life you use up. Hence the faster you drive the less of your life you use up commuting. I propose therefore that speeding actually saves time and therefore saves lives.

You can't stop people dying, all you can do is delay their death and improve their quality of life. So I think in a very literal and direct sense, you can trade off mobility and reduced journey times against shortened lives due to accidental deaths. It's all very well to say that one death is one too many and 'if it saves a single life it is worth doing' but the truth is that road safety is always a compromise, we don't want improved safety regardless of the price.

I want improved road safety and I want to be able to drive fast. The commonly accepted notion that the two are mutually exclusive is complete bullshit.

Adrenaline rules - people who engage in adrenaline sports are less likely to suffer from a myriad of problems. I have at various times in my life white water kayaked, skydived, base jumped, rock and ice climbed, worked as a safari guide on hunts involving dangerous game, ridden motorbikes (aka organ donors) and now have an elise. Not quite the same, but certainly gives one a bit of a rush. If I become unmotivated, I eat too much, drink to much and enjoy life less. There seems to be a trend towards an overregulated, risk / responsibility free society. I feel more likely to die of boredom.

Sworks - I had proposed the answer we are all looking for:

Lets say everyone drove twice as fast. Then everyone would get to where they wanted to be in half the time. This reduces road traffic by 50%. If there are only half as many cars on the road there will be half as many accidents.

Excellent - nice way to state the matter. Double all speed limits. Sort the congestion, make lotus owners smile. There you go: job's a good'un.
