Viper or not to Viper

Thinking of putting Viper stripes on my S1 Azure blue elise. Im thinking of white or silver.

What do you think?

Anyone got any pics so I can get a better opinion?

I liked it enough to do it to my Nightfall Blue S1. And Lotus themselves liked it enough to plagiarise my car (the buggers!) for the new SE. IMHO not many cars suit racing stripes, but the Elise is one that does. Plus they're good for at least +10bhp!

My personal choice would be white, but silver would look good too. Bear in mind that it's a bitch to do. Upwards of £250 or £30 and 5-6 hours of your time and plenty of swearing and hitting things.

Don't forget to post pics when/if you're done.

IMHO, stripes look great on an S2 but they just don't work on the more rounded shape of the S1.

Interesting. Personally I find stripes work better for the S1 and seem to lose something on the S2.

It just goes to show that whatever you do will not meet with universal approval and that you just try and satisfy yourself. If you think it looks good then do it.

I'm not gonna be taking them off - I like 'em too much. It's bound to be an issue if you leave them on for years (depending on how well you look after your paintwork) but then I don't intend to sell the car so it's never bothered me.

yeah there is that. When I wanted them I had only seen one or two cars with them. Now they are so popular its putting me off.

I have a special livery going on this week so people aren't likely to confuse mine with other striped Loti in any case.
