Alpina Insurance?

Anyone had any problems trying to insure BMW Alpina''s, the cars a B3 3.0 Switchtronic, most insurance company''s tell me "don''t you mean an M3" as Alpina''s aren''t on their computer, even BMW Insurance can''t find it, tried getting a quote calling it a modified 328i, but as the mods are quite extensive it got a bit daft. I''ve tried all the big names, anyone know any specialists out there, as the renewal date is getting close!
