Our very own (well TGs very own - and my favourite presenter) James May is presenting a programme on Wednesday evening on his top toys ..... and they're not of the vehicular variety ......

James May's Top Toys
Wed 21 Dec, 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm 60mins

A celebration of the toys which have survived across the decades, presented by a man who still plays with them.

When James May was three, his father gave him a toy car for Christmas, and a life behind the wheel and under a bonnet became his destiny. 42 year old James takes us on a tour of his childhood mind as he rifles through his boy toy favourites which include Meccano, Lego, Scalectrix, Airfix and his all time number one toy - the train set. His love of engineering and building things has shaped the ingredients of his entire toy cupboard. There's not a microchip in sight. He still plays with his toys - still loves building things with his various sets. Each toy prompts a story - a history told via archive, anecdote and obsessive collector.

And immediately before this programme is the Dragons Den 'Where are they now' programme - showing some of the 'contestants' from the 1st series (7-8pm).

Yeah - that was them that was.

I drive past SRR most evenings .... always tempted to pop in for a coffee

But I hear that you keep all the chocolate digestives to yourself and I'm not sure I fancy sharing mine

Cheers Chaz - I'll make a deliberate point of doing so.

I've seen the development plans for that place - it looks pretty cool.

If you need a hand humping stuff (no - not 'that' humping ) around - gis a shout. I'm sure I could spare an hour or 2 to muck in.
