I am in Reading along with a few others who post here. Welcome to the fold. Cr*ppy time of the year to start your elise driving, but loads of fun ahead of you nevertheless. Just take it really easy when you get the car - hardly a day has gone by that someone hasn't posted either here or on SELOC about an offroad excursion of writeoff. Care is needed - especially if any chance of ice.

Oh duh on my part about driving tips - just read another thread - says you had two other elises - still, this time of year always a good idea to take it easy.

Keep an eye out on Seloc for local meets. Otherwise join me on a run to Bournemouth to meet the BOLOCs (Bournemouth lotus owners club) crew. Awful, antisocial, fun hating fellows the lot of them Ne really their get togethers are always a blast. Summer evning burger runs to Swanage take the cake though - like being teleported into a video game!

cheers, I think time I sell my 996tt and get my car it will be early spring and I should be okay. I had some really hairy moments in my old 111s where I ended up facing the wrong way on some roundabouts so yep will be taking it easy.

Look no further than SELOC for all your needs - social, track days, banter etc.

Ascot? Then latch onto the Surrey meets at The Jovial Sailor PH - Ripley.

SELOC Surrey lot are very active, spacefrog & azlan are the regional coordinators are are very friendly peeps.

http://forums.seloc.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=76 is their regional forum. They like a drink that lot too, and have plenty of meets.

You're welcome over at the Kent meets anytime also

As Sworks has said Spacefrog & Azlan are
I think its worth staying in touch with more than one club. I go to some of the SELOC runs, and get together with the BOLOC crew when I can.
Lotus On Track is a must do!
