Just found out the headmaster of my 6 year old daughter stood up in assembly and told them all Santa doesnt exist and any presents you get are bought by your parents. There were children there younger than my daughter.
My 9 year old was also there and confirmed this is in fact what the headmaster said.

Thanks. I'm not religeous in any way and I don't even like christmas but Its a special time for my children and they are both excited.

I wonder why he doent tell them that Allah/God god knows who else does not exist either.

My children come home with red dots on their heads. talk about allah and learn all manner of superstitions/death cults, yet the one thats fun is not allowed.

Nice one you PC tt!

if my old headmaster had told the whole school that then he would have got some very serious complaints from parents. its just not on to spoil young children's dreams like that!

The guy's off his rocker!

Otherwise, who else delivers presents on Christmas day?

Sounds to me like someone didn't get what they wanted for Christmas when they were a child...

That's not on

A letter of complaint needed I think.

I think you need to sit them down and watch Polar Express .... that should put everything right.

Bang out of order what he said.

It's up to the parents when if they wish to dispel the myth of santa. But if they're like mine it doesn't last long, they've both decided this year at 10 and 9 that there is no santa and its me that buys and wraps the presents. Which is fine, they have worked in out for themselves, probably along with their class mates, but no adult has been along and shattered the myth for them.

I would complain to the headmaster, its not his decision to spoil their dreams of santa. If that had happened at my kids school, I would have been in already to see the head and tell him to put a sock in it.

Something like that is a good idea to try and rectify the situation (if it's still possible, depending on the children). I would be really narked at this guy and he'd be getting a stern letter. Seems like for a primary school headmaster he doesn't understand kids very well.

We kind of got told that the other week, except we got all these facts about how Santa would have to travel at XXXmph at which speed his reindeer would burst into a ball of flames within 0.0000023 seconds or some crap like that.

Total bollox, everyone knows that Rudolph is fireproof....

Anyway, write angry letters to the local papers and school govenors and to the Head to tell him how much of a dk he is.

ok, so we are all old enough to know its not real, but it was funny anyway when you got the shouts of "course he's real" and then the booing of our Headmanster

That's why he has a red nose, it absorbs all the heat to protect the other reindeer and santa!

I would go absolutely mental because of this. Who does he think he is?
Definatlely send a letter to the governors followed up by a request for a personal meeting in order to vent your spleen at him directly.

After all, it isn't as if the kids have that many years to enjoy the 'magic' of xmas without some pompous toerag spoiling it for them.

May his piles forever be infected.

My Mums like a broken record about the time when I was ~7 and told the school after present giving time when all the parents where there that Santa wasn’t real because I just sneaked out and saw him take off his beard and coat and get into a Volvo!

She also goes on about how I locked half the primary school in a classroom for 2 hours like it was a big issue, the headmaster only noticed the banging when no one came out for lunch

And my parents wonder why I’m not keen on having kids

Write a letter to the governors - and make sure you see which other parents are in agreement.
See him in person and demand an explanation - he really should not have done this.
