M250 - do a search...lots of info - got binned because it wouldnt be a 'world car' amongst other reasons

Its the M250...sadly never in produktion...I believe 1999? orso concept..

er - shame, don't put the picture of this and the Europa side by side

maybe when a lot of lotus minded people send a lot! e-mails with M250 pictures to the Lotus factory and managemends they get so sick of not having it build, and open there eyes and listen to the people who want to own such car! then maybe they will also build a few hundreds of the M250 next to the europa(wishfull thingking)

I could not agree more with you guys - they design the M250 ... and then build the Europa. I would have bought that M250 on looks alone. I wouldn't touch the europa. I don't care about comments like - it looks better in the flesh etc etc. The detailing is bleedin' awful That pic shows what was possible.

Agree also but the design of the S2 is not so far from the M250 one....

I do love the M250 but it's not going to be built, it carries an awful lot of design over from the S2 Elise

Thats true, some styling details are also in the mk2 elise/exige...but when they first brought it out that was'nt the case and WOW was that a car!(stil is!) I saw it also in the flesh by a dealer in the Netherlands!
Every time I see the pictures I feel a bit sad that they did not maked that car...so I better dont look at the lovely looks annymore

Had a look at the prototype and the styling was wonderful at that time. IIRC it had scissor doors (Lambo stylee) which would have added to complexity and price. Think it was a V6 of some kind too so performance and showroom appeal probably way behind the current crop of up-market sports cars.

Have a search for some interior shots, the exterior was perfection, the interior similarly so (for some reason the handbrake always sticks in my mind, its slightly different and very cool )
