I remember driving back from Cadwell Park, down the M62 towards Saddleworth - the sky was black, stars out, freezing cold, and playing Spandau BAllet and Duran Duran on the stereo - in my Chimaera, with the top down

God that was a memorable drive, 85mph all the way back to Manchester with the top down. The music made it.

Should 18 year olds like Dire Straits?

I really like their first album.

Not so sure about the stuff that followed though.

Absoloutely no problem with that whatsoever, Money For Nothing has been one of my favourite albums since i was about 8, and now i've discovered all their other material too.

Their music seems to incite emotion like no other can, absoloutely amazing - good to know other people feel the same way, although "Love over gold" (live version) seems to have most effect on me!

Cheers,
Rob.

Ptooey, I want to know what 'onamatopoiec' (sp) sounds like.

And also what A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. stands for...

NB: Is there another word that means the same as 'simile'?
