Exige wheels are really amazing, but in mat black they just don't stand out and seem in continuity with the tyre, which I don't like at all. speaking about the colour, it just depends on how you want the car to look like... since I'm not shy at all, and like the "massive killing capacity" looks
I think after having thought about it for a while myself that the most good-lookin' are dark chrome colourz... just choose the one you like the most (it helps also to give the car an attitude, depending on the colour) 
on a black elise (or exige) I would never put silver wheels (most of all exige wheels), IMHO they look really out of place. hope you'll get the effect you're lookin' for in the end, whatever the choice will be 
I,ve just brought a Mk2 Exige and I took the option of the forged alloys. They have 14 twin spokes, seven pairs. Only seen one other car with them. My car is stardust black metallic and the wheels they call ice silver, really was torn on which way to go but in fairness they do look really good and of course save 1.2KG per corner!
