103 dead of the 110 on-board, 75 on-board were school children going home for Christmas. Very sad.

Scammers kids ?

Probably only 1% of the population can afford a plane ticket.

Very sad, just the same.

Yep, theres been a couple of them over there recently.
When we used to fly into PH, Air France were the only Euro flight willing to do it.

Hold that taxi!
I bet one of the dead is a rich long lost reletive and all I need to do to claim all his money is to e mail my bank details to a respected laywer in Abuja.

Joking aside a terrible tragedy..

word(s) association .

'The country Nigeria' = scams,fraudulent,dodgy,corrupt.

'An Nigerian aircrash where the majority of victims were school children'

= an absolute tragedy

please do not confuse the two

carry on.

The plane was either a Douglas DC-9 or a McDonnell Douglas MD-80 owned by Sosolito Airlines. They are a fairly small operator with a fleet of about 4 aircraft. I checked out their fleet and most of the DC-9s were forerly operated by JAT, the national airline of Yugoslavia.

Yes, FT, we realise that: just as sure as while there'll be thousands starving to death in Africa in 14 days time, how much of your day will you set aside from munching turkey and quaffing ale to meditate on their plight?

Sh!t happpens in the world; best to be thankful it happens to others. Until it happens to you... then worry.

Ian ,whilst i may not deviate from quaffing/munching or 'meditate' on thier plight, my first thoughts are drawn to my own children ( 'best to be thankful it happens to others' )and to that of the grieving parents this tragedy affects.......

call me a sensitive old soul, but i don't feel the need to rush to a keyboard to raise suggestions of 'dead aircrash kids scam appeal'

I'm just a father, no more,no less.
