While under the car (replacing hand brake cable) I noticed a little play in the prop shaft UJ (well the front one anyway). Can some bright spark tell me what to ask my local friendly parts man for? I don't think Tuscan V6 will be on his lists.....

The car has a Zodiac Mk4 gearbox (with overdrive) and a salisbury diff.

Why not try Adrain Venn, Steve Reid or David Geralds first and then you know you'll get the correct one. Also you'll be supporting one of our Traders too.

Well thanks for all the info guys, I assume you all only ever buy parts from the three named suppliers then. FYI the last time I approached one of the named suppliers for a part he pointed me in the direction of a non-TVR supplier (and I was very grateful for the info).

For small value (but compatitively heavy) standard items like UJ's where the p&p would cost almost as much as the item why not support a local supplier?

So that means you previosly have used and found someone that gives you good advice..... and you will support him by sourcing parts from him?.....NO!

Surely if you take into account the cost of petrol and your time the postage cost is very reasonable unless of course you live extremely close to you local supplier.

The ones I got from Exactly TVR have lasted a lot longer than the ones that I got from our local parts factor, sometimes its worth paying a little more for a better quality bit.

ATE, what part of Kent are you in? I get my props sorted by a place in Bexleyheath. They are not overly expensive and will be able to get you the correct UJ if you take it there or tell them what you have.
