Does anyone know of any decent large shopping centres less than 50 miles from Boulogne other than Cite Europe?
Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with Cite Europe but would just like to go somewhere else for a change.
I want booze etc, Mrs Ribol wants the usual things women do

Any suggestions?

(No I don't want to go to Bluewater before some kind soul suggests it)

Went last weekend as a matter of fact. Easy to find. Ticket with P&O only cost £35.00

Though another PHer has also recommended the Majestic Wine Warehouse as you can choose all of your wine online and then turn up and Calais and it's all boxed ready waiting for you.

We go to Auchan because the Mrs also gets washing powder/ cat food/ salami/ parmesan/ spices/ cheese/ veg/ mustard etc all of which are much cheaper. It's in effect our big 1/4 ly shop.

Btw, Auchan isn't open on Sunday, so we go on Sat. Just so you know.

If you look at www.shopinfrance.co.uk you can download and print some money off vouchers as well

ps, if you so desire you can also now pay with £ at Auchan. Goodness only knows what % of takings are from Brits in that place! About 70% I'd guess.

Hardly surprising when you consider how much more we pay for everything over here
Money aside, I find any trips over the water make a pleasant change.
