Only tradition I have is going to watch Batley v Dewsbury on boxing day. They always play as it brings a big crowd in and makes them some money. Andy wanted to do the boxing day stages but I think I'd get crucified if I did that

Xmas Day:Stepsons dad comes over early morning and then we go to my parents before going to her parents for dinner.

Going to be weird this year when we know we're seperating in the New Year. Should be interesting for her having two ex's visiting kids next year

I land from Boston on xmas eve, together with my bro who's coming in from Tokyo.

Slap up lunch somewhere, then let beer & rugby drinking games rule the night at the local!

Always try to take the TVR out for a spin on Xmas Day - well, it would be churlish not to!

we always have toasted pannatone and champagne on xmas morning for breakfast.
Not planning on a traditional xmas lunch this year.
Have one veggie and two fussy eaters.
so I am going to do a buffet and have a day off.

I always spend it with my wife. No real traditions to speak of, but i do like a decent bottle of champagne when we wake up. Just sets the day off nicely.

Unfortunately i will be working Christmas eve and Christmas day this year . Should be 0700 til 1900 both days but have arranged just to do 1300-1900 on the big day. Then doing night shift on boxing day and the 27th. Gutted as i usually prefer boxing day, always nice to lounge about and have a few drinks but will have to be in at 2100.

At least my wife will be around as she coming down from Leeds (where we live) to London(i work at Heathrow) which will make it bearable.

Off up to see my brother, he's just bought a flat so the wife and I are helping him celebrate his first Christmas in his own home. Of course being that he was until recently a head chef in a very posh private hospital, we're both very much looking forward to one of the best Christmas dinners in the country (he is an incredibly talented chef and really goes to town when he's cooking for family).

I'm single and hate christmas.

It just rubs in that I don't have a partner to share with and makes me very sad (even though my family makes an effort to accomodate me).

I also think of those that are alone for various reasons - the elderly and mentally ill etc.

Last year was quite poignant - an ex of mine (I left because I couldn't cope with her nuttyness) was sectioned the week before christmas and had no contact with her son. A month on a closed ward surrounded by serious depressives and bipolars etc really sucks - and son (12) was too ed up to visit.

Happy Christmas to you all.
