Cool... it seems that purple gets burnt onto your retina and you see the chromatic opposite (green).
Same effect when you stare at the sun and end up with a negative image burnt onto your vision for a few minutes.

Indeed, i just get a circle of green dots after a few blinks if i look away - much like after looking at a bright light source as you say

After watching that for a couple of minutes, I went outside and throttled a cat....

What's going on....?
