I get back to the UK on the 16th December and will be around until the end of the month.

Hopefully, touch wood, I'll be picking my car up from Miles and Ian at Fibreglass Services pretty much straight away.

So - I need insurance for 2 weeks. I previously insured with Liverpool Victoria (who are very good) but they only do year long policies.

Anyone got any ideas how I pick up two weeks insurance?

When we bought the Elan we insured it for 3 months on the Corrado's policy (I think, although perhaps it was the Chimaera's) as a "temporary additional vehicle". Had to do it a month at a time and after 3 months they said they couldn't do it any more and we'd have to get a policy for the car.

Still, if you have another car and your insurer offers it, then adding it to that policy is certainly an option.

That would be fun. Put it on the same policy as the Landy - insured in the Cayman Islands!

Hi - try www.dayinsure.com who charge from £10.00 per day for temporary cover but read the site carefully to see ifyou and the car are eligible.

Hope it works out OK for your circs.

Cool - I'm going to take a look - not sure if Fidelity will insure me on the Defender's policy out here in Cayman.

I've my insurance agent's e-mail address so I will drop her a line........

.......interesting!

Take out a yearly policy and cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. You'll have a cover note and only have to pay for the 14 days. Check small print though.
