Current bun recruits ex minister as columnist. Read all about it.

DAVID Blunkett, one of British Prime Minister Tony Blair's key allies until his resignation earlier this month, will make his debut tomorrow as a columnist for Britain's most widely read tabloid, The Sun.
The former work and pensions secretary, who left office at the beginning of November amid controversy over his business dealings, said in an interview with the daily newspaper that he will write about both politics and his own life.
"I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into my new column for The Sun. I won't just be writing about politics, but also about Britain today and what's going on around me, my own experiences," he said.

Shirley he would be better off representing his constituents than writing on tomorrows chip paper?

How will he know that they print exactly what he dictates?

But thats the point, he knows they will only print lies, so if he lies in the first place, well he is a politician, then they will change his lie, so it will end up the truth or at least a non-lie, quid pro quo

He's not from Sellafield is he?

I thought that people writing about his experiences was what had caused him to resign. Maybe there are other "experiences" yet to be made public?

Maybe the Sun is trying to appeal to the Morning Star readership.

Like many on here totally staggered they can hound the guy when in political office and then give him a job afterwards. As for writing about his life can I suggest he just sticks to politics where he clearly has teflon qualities with the ability to run through sh1te and come out smelling of roses.

Do they do a braile version of the Sun?

If so, I want a go of page 3.

Wasn't one of the things he did wrong, was to take the ex-ministerial payment to support him for the 3 months that he is not allowed to work, and then take a directorship as well. Now he has taken another job, less than 3 months after he left his ministerial position.

Nothing surprises me about the hypocrisy of the tabloids. They will contradict themselves in the sames sentence if it sells more papers.

This could be good - "Birds I have Shagged, the in depth story, no holds barred, all the ins & outs, shock, horror probe".
So, with the long holidays MPs have, the Company Directorships, Chairmanships(sp?), the newspaper columns, the sleaze, the birds, etc, when do they actually get around to the minor job of running the country? No wondor the Commons appears to be empty most of the time (& those that are there look to be sleeping).
