What do people here use.
I tried the original Mach 3 because I read an article about it in The Guardian by a journalist I trust - and then when i spoke to him found that it was by someone else with the eame name.

But I liked it, so I then migrated to Turbo and now to Power, but I don't understand the difference between power adn Nitro and the blades are at take-the-piss prices.

I sort of think they hold those prices because they are so good, but does anyone know of anything any better?

Also what soap? I tend to migrate to King Of Shaves.

Mach 3 original and Gillette Gel, thats for most of my face and all of head (_8(/)

Cant see the point in upgrading to what is effectively the same but just even more expensive on blades...

I found a big difference between the original and turbo, I might use the turbo blades on the power handle.

I have seen the future and it is a twelve blade razor which I cannot lift! How many times can they re invent the razor, and can I have my money back as when the keep saying the best a man can get they don't really mean it do they.
I use a mach three with whatever the wife buys me to slap on the face

That might be ok for your back and the palms of your hands but what do you use on your face?

I use a Norelco electric, because my beard is like a wire brush, standard razors rip the hide off me.

I've ended up sticking my SO's Venus blades on my mk3 handle. They cost less and work better. I normally dont have to shave for a couple of days after using it instead of every day too so its nice and close...

Mach 3 adverts are so wanky I can never bring myself to use them. And the refills do me about once before I have to chuck them, so they cost a fortune.

I use Bic single blade disposables and have a goatee, which cuts down on shaving effort anyway,

Mach 3 original using palmolive cream and applied using a brush. And always against the growth.

Does anyone here actually follow the advice and only shave with the growth and yet not have 5 o'clock stubble 5 minutes after shaving?

I was sick of the gels - they seem to be more about style than substance.
Anything beyond Mach 3 original is just a gimmick - and a bloody expensive gimmick.
