another good-bye to lotus

Well, after 3 months car-less, I put down my deposit on an 03 M3 BMW approved used.
I was soo keen on another Elise (or Exige) but the thought of many winter mornings motorway journeys and some family pressure had me giving in.
May not follow bends surgically but the engine is glorious anyway!
Looking forward to a comeback in a few years ...

well the car was written off. And I needed a car to drive to work now.
I was very tempted to get one of the many discounted delivery-miles 05 111R.
Wifey was unhappy so I thought I was going for an 06 111R with airbags, then just fell for the M3 as it was available now one day before I HAD to get a car.
