Do any of the masses have any experience in sorting out buildings/contents insurance on older properties. I will be moving into an older house (circa 1790) and need to get insurance resolved, but my requirements seem to be a bit 'difficult' for them.

Any advise greatfully received.

Can you be a bit more specific about how difficult your requirements are? If it is because you have an older house, it might be worth trying the insurance part of the NFU.

I've just been though rnewal on my house (Part 1750, part 1820) and the best were Brit and Hiscox.

Of them all AON Private Clients got me the best quote.
