Cost of Bugatti EB110
Discussion
Hi all, this is going to sound crazy but the other night I had a dream about my childhood obsession, the Bugatti EB110. I've loved this car ever since reading about it for the first time when I was a wee lad, and my passion only worsened after seeing it in the flesh at Earls Court car show in the early nineties (on a lotus stand IIRC)!
I'm set on acquiring one of these beasts, I just would like to know what sort of money these go for now so that I can start saving, robbing banks, prostituting my body (buggery for a bugatti), scamming my parents, sellings my kidneys and trading my deformed, lifeless sperm.
Anyone know? It's not the kind of car you find in the back of the local newspaper!

They normally go for around 200,000 euros, if you can find them. I have seen them listed for a little less. If you want one with a nice pedigree, you could always by one of Artiolli's personal cars; an EB110 SuperSport:

They have been in the 175-200 range for quite a while.
Remember that the SS version is much preferable. They seem to be priced 25ish higher, but enough were made that you shouldn't have to pay a silly scarcity-value premium.
You probably saw it, but there was a detailed article on the EB110 in evo not long ago.

That is beautiful, all it needs is the wheels painted anthracite and it would perfect!
Apart from the fact it's about 400k over my budget! Bugger.

SLIGHT THREAD HIJACK...
Flemke - Had a discussion with my Dad. He said something about "there being a Flemke back in the the 60's/70's". He continued with "raced at the same time as Red Foot" and concluded with "He was part of that damned yankee crowd from up north" (Dad is from West Virginia) "He was a damned good racer, though. I think his son was a good driver too". He then went into a dissertation about the old days and how people would build their cars in their garages and then take them out to race unlike the "sanitized rules crap that you have today". I think he started mumbling about remembering it was all trees as far as the eye could see
Anyway, knowing my Dad, the fact that he actually bestowed a "damned good racer" description on a "yankee" speaks very highly.
So, a dream Pub conversation for me would be to get yourself and McNab in the same pub and discuss things until the wee hours of the morning (McNab had a certain connection to drivers of blue painted Jaguars a while back)
Cheers to you, Ed.

Back on topic - the blue looks better on Flemke's F1

The problem with these cars is servicing and maintenance. Ok, so the costs are "relatively" reasonable for the performance and exclusivity. The issue is that there are only a few service centres and the costs are extreme. Remember its a v12 with quad turbos - in a pretty high state of tune for the day - so its not a £1000 job to renew the turbos - its a £4000 minimum....
