For those who don´t know it - this is a huge sportscar / tuning / classic car fair in Essen / Germany, starting this week (Nov. 25th).
Read an article that a company named Technocars (www.technocars.de) will have two Ultimas there, with Audi 4.2l engines. They claim that they have changed many components and will start selling their cars in Germany... Actually they don´t call their cars even Ultimas.
I will go there on Friday to have a look.

Hi Peter, sounds interesting! the Gumpert Apollo will be there too, I dont know if I will be there, but if you going try to look at that Apollo and post what you think of it in the real world...

Its a nice page...also look at these lovely rearlights
and the ohter details and pics, nice site...interesting for me living in the Netherlands with many rules and so you need when you build a car like that yourself a "modern" engine, and the strange? thing is when you buy seconde hand from GB it also will pass the Dutch rules because of Europeën rules, so thats a good thing
only not the high BPM tax overhere

Ow, and I saw the weigth of those cars is only around 850kg! very nice work indeed when I look at that stuf.

I actually doubt the 850KG. There were articles in german magazines, where they said they stiffened up the chassis a lot. Then they had to change a lot of parts to meet german regulations they say.
How is it possible to rip off more then 300lbs of a already light car without major changes in the cars looks? The Audi engine might save a few pounds, but not 300. They are using the FIA cage. Doens´t lighten the car up, too. Some lights, seats and a dashboard won´t lighten the car either.

Yep sounds also a bit to good to be true...I think the german carmags will test it and then we will see
Maybe I will go to Essen to see it myself, then I also take a look at the Gumpert Apollo how that looks like in the real world and ofcorse the other special sportcar news
