Anyone got one?

I started looking at these Oregan ones that you find in the gadget shops, as a Christmas present idea for my parents. But when I started looking I started fancying one myself, as you can have several wireless sensors set up on different channels - allowing you to monitor things like a garage if you want to. However, you could only monitor temp and pressure; humidity would be useful too.

So, anyone got one or using it for this purpose? Is there any point? Is there any other brand apart from Oregan?

I've got an Oregon Scientific one and its great. Let's me know how cold it is outside before I get out of bed, so I can determine how quickly to run for the warmth of the shower. It tells you what the humidity is as well, and I have a sensonr inside as well as outside.

Its best function though is mainly that it allows you to indulge more accurately in the great British tradition of moaning about the weather.

My parents are going to love one then

Just looked again online, and see that humidity is included. That's me sold then...

This is the one I have. Tells you all you could ever need to know.

Calling them "weather forecasters" is a bit of a misnomer though, as all they really do is tell you what the weather is currently like.
