There was a Tuscan on TopGear last night : so those that missed it can catch the repeat during the week.

It was not on for long but did have some interesting new tyres on it

Has anyone managed to rip the clip onto a PC movie? I'm sure there's someone on here that usually does that sort of thing but I can't fiand any threads. Can anyone rip the clip on Tuesdays show if they haven't done so already please? Please please please please please please please.

Lunched its engine..... was that at the end when he looked to have stalled it....?????

Well I was at the recording of that show and the engine sounded OK to me. At the end of the recording both the Porsche and TVR were started up and driven away under their own power..!!

Tuscan sounded the best by far. Be careful about adding to the engine reliability rumours..!!

Was at MPH show on Sat. Hammond drove the same car in and did donuts in it.

Probably best NOT to buy that 'partcicular' ex TVR fleet car then - IF they let hammond drive it

Was it Top gear Or fith Gear when they knackered 2 boxsters (both ahd to be pushed into shot) when testing against 2 tamoras (behaved faultlessly) a couple of years ago.

NO...that was 'Driven' and it was definitely NOT mentioned that the Boxsters clutches were creamed.....

Even more frustrating bearing in mind Ray particularly made a point of asking that they mention that fact.
Even though the three presenters all made it quite clear when the cameras were not rolling that they preferred the TVR they then chose the Porsche!

I hear from informed sources that the MPH'05 Tuscan is working fine, and is, as we speak, heading back to Blackpool - using the same engine it came down with.

Its always the same Pauline, when I did the shoot for Men & Motors with a Porsche 911 the 911 never made it to the track as it broke down??? As they were deciding which car was best, I mentioned that my car had been very reliable and the 911 broke down on the way to the track and they cut it out in the final edit????

How can the Vanwell possibly be compared to the Sagaris....

It may be just as quick....but the Sagaris has two seats, a heater, a boot, a decent stereo...

Oh.....and that little overlooked added extra.... A ROOF!!

The Vanwell looks a great little car to have fun with...but not as a serious road car.

Why do you have to be a t**T and get personal all the time.....

I'm not making a dig at TVR, just how the press knacker cars, as another example, earlier in the thread, I said, (positive TVR one, SAME ENGINE) how the tamoras could take all (DRIVEN) could do to it but they knackered 2 boxsters.

A friend was their for the filming, and as I said, I'm not surprised by the way it was driven, low mileage car, cold, used and abused by the press. I'm also would not be surprised if the top Gear guys don't knacker everything they drive...

IE the camera that got absolutely TOTALLED, when the teenager drove the remote controllde BMW into it, that shot was not 'planned', and cost a hell of a lot more than a rebuild.



Would anybody here let hammond, may or clarkson have their car for a day filming
