just a bit of a 'heads up' really - i have tried to get a couple of things from amazon this morning and they are saying they can't deliver 'til after Christmas. These aren't obscure things - one was a pretty common mp3 player.

still pixmania claim to be ok for a couple of quid more... (second cheapest rather than cheapest so can't complain!).

I had this trouble last year. I ordered a load of stuff in November and it arrived 2nd week of January!

Also try getting hold of someone at Amizon, you cant.

If you have a copy of the original delivery estimate, e mail them and make a fuss. They tried this last year with me, two e mails pointing out their original promises and the goods turned up as promised. The cynical part of me suggests this may be a way for them to lessen the pre christmas workload by relying on the british reluctance to kick up under such circumstances....
