Old MOT certificate copies
Discussion
I doubt it as they never recieve copies... if you know where it was MOT'd they way be able to provide copies.... I had a simalar thing with the speedo failing at 13000 miles.. but fortunate enough to have the certificates and it put on service schedule.... I have the fun of different registrations on things.... same chasssis number though.. car has just had a lot of private registrations.... I cvna get them form the DVLA though...
If the change was made more than two years ago, I doubt if the MOT people will have anything. I have just been through this process to try to complete my set of MoT certificates. The tester should send a copy of each certificate to the local DVLA office in his area. The one I spoke to (DVLA HQ can tell you the phone number), only kept copies for 18 months. I also contacted the garage where the test was done, and they said more or less the same. You could strike lucky if the garage that tested the car just doesn't throw old paperwork away and has still got the copy somewhere. I've had to give up. Good luck.
