Chris, sorry to hear you are selling, particularly as it was your car that introduced me to C5s when we went for a drive at the Fort Brockhurst show in 2003.

Good luck with the sale.

You mean that time I ran out of fuel...

I will be sad to see it go (I'm half-hoping no-one does buy it) but the Monaro's got my attention now and the poor Vette is sitting on the drive looking lonely.

Well I was being diplomatic. But as you mentioned it, it was the time you had the dreaded fuel gauge problem leaving me on the seafront with a stricken Corvette and Adrian's neurotic dog whose lead consisted of a piece of string!!! Oh yeah and some car park attendant asking why the car was parked across three parking bays.

Intersting point. Are there any fuel industry experts out there that know how this works? I remember reading years ago that the likes of Comet got low quality white goods from the manufactuturers that allowed them to lower their prices. Its been about 15K miles since my guage last had a tantrum - no visits to B&M, I just talk to it nicely. The last 2 months I have been getting fuel from my local ASDA which broke out and is selling for 6p a litre less thna any garage I have seen in the surrounding 50 mile area. No problems with the guage so far

The advice on the Corvette Forum seems to be to put a bottle of Techron additive into the tank to fix the gauge tantrums. Not sure if you can get it in UK?

I will do!

Had one of the best days of my life today - crusing around with the top down!

She drives like a dream.

Glad to hear the BM drives well.

Thank you so much Chris - it has been a pleasure doing business with you and for all you support and advice.

Just got to get used to all the extra attention - LOL!
