Of a ruddy good hiding after cheering Peter Andre and Jordans plunge into new depths of badness, my ears will never forgive me for having to listen to that!!

I have to say, cheesy as the song may have been, I was quite impressed by Ms Price's voice. I thought that next to her husband she would have been put to shame.

I take back my "pre-cringe" as I watched the lead in to her bit of the song

Well done!

Coach (I promise I wont book them for a TVRCC event )

Well my children must be in need because they're watching it. I have, however, used the opportunity to explain to my kids why companies get involved. I explained that the reason HSBC raised gazillions of Pounds was as follows:

a. Doesn't cost the company a penny - it's given by their customers and staff.
b. The company comes out looking generous, despite not giving anything.
c. The 'giant cheque' has their brand plastered all over it. Free brand awareness!
c. Damn good PR. An advert on prime-time TV could cost hundreds of thousands.

As such, my kids have been educated!!

LOL, I was just trying to explain this too, untill Chan told the kids I was just a miserable old sod!!! lol, It is hard not to be cynical in the reason why some 'celebs' and huge corporations are so eagre to get involved, but on the other hand, it does help help certain kids and charities.....

I think I'm correct in saying that both Madonna and Rod Stewart have got records out at the moment. I wonder if they would have been as generous with their time if that were not the case?

I thought she did alright. I've come to quite admire katy. She's a survivor.

I remember Andre from some years ago, when he went head to head against David Coulthard on "Ready steady cook" ( i think it was). Must have been off sick at home or summat.

Anyway I think Andre had bought a couple of microwave packets for a fiver and it was all he could do to read the instructions, pierce the packets and pop em in the micro. DC on the otherhand had turned up with all this fresh veg, and he'd only paid about £4.23 for 'em, being a true scot.

So there he was, chopping and whisking away, looking and talking like a really clean cut, articulate young man, telling the audience that he lives in Monte Carlo when he's not earning his very dangerous living, etc etc.

All the old dears in the audience were swooning over him, no doubt wishing they could fix him up with their grand-daughters. Andre looked the plastic psuedo popstar tt that he was.

This sort of thing just makes me cringe! Don't get me wrong, good cause and all, but it really is dire - the whole lot

Aye, she has her knockers...

( Pause for etc )

But she hasn't got a bad voice. I was pleasantly surprised.

Good luck to her, she certainly knows how to make money and lets face it, with a disabled child to bring up she will need it. Maybe those who criticise her would prefer that she lived off benefits in a council flat.

Dont think so....they claimed it was live and having been in the live music biz a long time ago I can usually spot...

Then again, 3 glasses of Mr W Blass' Yellow Label could have clouded the old judgement gland!

I seem to remember from my days at HSBC that they matched the money raised by staff and it was a fair old amount. Bet they get tax relief on it though.

They also used to provide some of the call centre facilities f.o.c. and they provide a lot of the money transmission (cash and cheque processing) servies so its not really fair to say they don't give anything.

HSBC also (at least they used to) match £ for £ fundraising by staff for other charities.
