Help, I am going to buy a new clutch for my early S (87 vintage) but cannot get the answer to my question. Where or what car is the clutch from?
Had answers from Capri to Transit and all the v6 fords inbetween!!!
Please can somebody tell me the right part number or what the clutch is from?
somebody recently added to my problems by saying a ford item will fit with modification!!!!

Help me please, slipping clutch means full bore fun is on hold, and for a TVR there is nothing worse

I fitted a cosworth sierra clutch to an s2 if that helps. So, I'd say you need a sierra 2.0 clutch.

Probably going to add to your problems but I recently had to change the starter on my '88 S1 and it was from an '83 Granada - can only assume clutch will be same if it mates to the same gearbox?

2.8i Ford Capri was the geargox that I put in on my 2.8 S1 and so was the clutch and all was well but I was told the sierra one is identical. However, I think I could given some more consideration to a competition clutch with stronger springs etc(money permitting)as it would be more fun and agressive than the standard one which I think is a bit 'soppy'.
Anyone know if the transit clutch has heavier duty springing than the car clutch?
