Anybody into bird spotting?

Until now I never fully understood how to tell the difference between male and female birds. I always thought it had to be determined by looking for either a scrote or a fanjita.

Its actually alot easier than you'd think.

Below are two birds. Study them closely. See if you can spot which of the two is the female. It can be done. Even if you've got limited bird watching skills.

Thing is with pigeons it'd be the other way round. It'd be the male standing there going "I want a shag, I want a shag, I want a shag" and the female looking disinterestedly away.

I could never understand how birds got it on until I was given a demonstration by 2 pigeons on the roof of the building opposite me...not to dissimilar to humans tbh. Male does his wham bam thank ya ma'am impression whilst female sits looking bored....
