360 Replacement???
Discussion
I know the magnificent 360 Modena is due to be updated sometime soon, apparently using the Maserati engine.
What else do we know about the car?
For example:
1. When will the current model be replaced?
2. Details of the new engine (Size, BHP, Torque etc)?
3. Performance figures?
4. Will there be any modifications to the body?
5. Cost?
etc etc etc.
The 360 is my all time favorite car, and I was just interested to know what changes Ferrari had intended to make to it.
Any help, advice or answers would be greatly welcomed.
Cheers
Jay
P.S. For all you book worms out there:
Autocar will be running a feature on the 360 in their next issue.

Have you seen the body on the N-GT. The front is flared and looks soooooooooooooo good.
We've just done the 24hr Bathurst with one of our N-GT's. Well, 97 laps of it anyway. Max rpm for 24hr is 8500. Unfortunately we did 9200 on our out lap and never went back! Oh well, I tried to tell 'em.
We did 1 hour on the first engine, blew it up (oil pump chain broke), changed engines in 3.5 hours, then did a bit over 2 hours on the second engine, flicked a rod out, caught fire, very ugly now!
Lesson - don't ask a racing driver not to race.

Will the spyder be updated?
I know that maserati have some good engines but a ferrari with a ferrari engine is the way it should be!
Actually, according to my local Ferrari/Maser dealer, Ferrari makes the engines currently used in the Masers...

I've got a few but can't work out how to post them. Go to www.bathurst24hr.com.au for the latest few shots. There's links there to the procar site and prancinghorse.com.au. Have a look at the spotties I put in, yeah baby. Like a freight train.
Also, go to www.f3-gt.com and look at veloqx's cars.

So Phil, who was driving when she blew ??
I was gutted and embarrassed when it blew up twice while that 427 monster just blew it's doors off and romped away. It even destroyed the Porsches when they had to get up it to keep ahead. The Monaro was just idling while the poor old 360 was at it's wits end, even with JB driving the wheels off it
Had several "mates" call up to give me shit over an old pushrod beating Maranellos finest (pushrod my arse, that was the quad cam ZR unit if I recall correctly put into a purpose built chassis and a Monaro shell on the outside).
Sorry to see all your efforts go down the gurgler but Carl, Ants, and a few others of us want to enter a 308 in next years just to keep the flag waving and have some fun
