London Tunnel Monthly meet

Just my two penneth
The last thing I would want to be is negative, however, I would think quarterly would be best.
If it happend too often it will lose it's popularity / momentum and the main part of the spectacle for me is the numbers of cars taking part.
My first one was the Midnight Run, it was quite an event despite the roadworks / closures.
Dawn Raid was different vibe ,
and helped keep the novelty element
Events such as these need to keep the interest up or it would run the risk of dying out.
Us Outer Londoners (Southampton) who need 2 hours just to get into the big smoke, will make the effort every few months, however every month would be a little too much.

I think Moose has a valid point, but monthly is definately a good idea.
Maybe a smaller one each month, then a big bash every 3 months with a jaunt somewhere like the one to Beachy Head.
Hopefully the quarterly ones will draw more cars, and the monthly ones can be for the die-hards and those that can make it.

I was looking at this the other day, couldn't we do a tunnel run then convoy down to this meet?
I think Moosehunter is on the money. The thing that makes the Tunnel Runs so great is a) the turnout and b) the uniqueness of the run. If we do too many we might lose a little of that. Trick is to keep coming up with original twists on the run format (tunnels, early start, midnight start etc).
Having said all that, I'd be up for a Tunnel Run to SW meet. Sounds like a tailor made day.

We were going along to this meet. Love the tunnel runs - so a tunnel run and then on to the meet would be great.

we were thinking about it too (well I was, haven't told Mark yet
) They are meeting at the grasshopper at 1200, so we could finish the tunnel run at the dartford tunnel/lakeside services, and anyone who wants to carry on can convoy down.
